Tilly Glimpse
The image in this frame is from a larger hand printed lithograph I did about 20 years ago. Making a lithograph by hand is a time consuming process with many steps. The creation of this piece probably took about 25 hours. The image originated from a photo of the Asbury Park funhouse. The funhouse was famous for having the giant leering face of Tilly gracing its side. The photo was made into a graphic film that was then part of a collage that became the lithograph. The litho was hand colored and for this piece a color transparency is layered on top. I like that I was able to give at least a piece of this litho new life in this antique frame.
